Hi @lina ahmed ,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

All the above-mentioned can work, though, third-party backup solution, like GitProtect.io can be a better option, as it gives you a possibility to create custom backup plans where you can include only the necessary data for backing up. You can find out more about the solution on Atlassian Marketplace https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1225728/gitprotect-io-backup-for-bitbucket?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

Hi @lina ahmed

the best way to make a backup of a projekt is to make a backup of the whole instance and save it somewhere locally, e.g. on your system (that in optimal case is also backed up somewhere).

There is a description how to restore only one specific project from a site backup, so you can restore a deleted project from the backup without overwriting other projects with old data: Restoring a project from backup | Administering Jira applications Data Center and Server 9.2 | Atlassian Documentation

I recommend to make a second backup before trying to restore the old project just to be on the safe side.

Also, in case the above does not work, you can always restore this backup to a temporairy (free) instance, export issues there and import them again in your production site. However, this means you need to recreate the settings of the project.

This topic has been asked before, so please feel free to also check e.g.

Regards,

Harald

Hello @lina ahmed ,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!!

I don't think so the backup of the single project is available  out of the box in Jira Cloud,
But you can export the single project issues.

  1. Go to the Jira Admin
  2. On the left side, click on Issues and filters
  3. On the top left of your screen, click on "Search issues"
  4. Chose your project, type,status
  5. On the top right of your screen, click on the "Export" drop down.
  6. You can export via CSV.

however some other third party plugins provides an functionality of the Single project backup.

Hope this helps!

Regards,
Mayur
