Hey all,
I want to find a way for adding pictures in my Jira, and not in the comment / Attachments.
For example, the marketing team, want to add 7 pictures and choose only one of them.
I would like to have a custom field or something like this, where i can add the final picture that the team selected, any idea's how i can do that?
Thanks!
Hi @Eran Roiter , thanks for your post.
It's not possible to create a custom field of type attachment. The workaround I would suggest would be to create a custom field of URL field and link to a folder where the files are. I know this isn't ideal but I don't know of another way around this.
Happy to be wrong if someone else has a suggestion.
Cheers
Hi @Eran Roiter
Why not make a small web-page with the (numbered) pictures and use the issuecollector function of Jira to have your people vote for the number (dropdown Jira custom field)???
You get your answers convenient together, nobody can sneak in a double entry, pure joy!
Kind regards,
Dick

Hi @Eran Roiter ,
you could create a Custom field that is called e .g. Chosen picture and is field type 'Paragraph' (the same as for Description).
In this field you can reference and display the chosen single picture.
Kind regards
Mike

Hi @Eran Roiter
I'm the product manager of the File Field App, allowing users to create attachment custom fields and upload one or several files in each field. You can even define restriction on file types and/or size.
Only available for Data Center at the moment, we are targeting a launch of the Jira Cloud version in Q1/2026, thanks to the new Forge Object Storage.
Let me know if you need more information or a demo.
Have a nice day,
David
