Associate a workflow to an issue

Afifa August 4, 2022

I have an issue in my project that I need to associate it to a new workflow. It already has a workflow . And I need to keep all the existants issues to their current status  when I do the association . The status are existants in both workflows.

The problem  is Jira didn´t give me the choice of status to immigrate my current issues to it did without asking?

Then I find  some of my issues are on the first status some are not.

How do i do that?

If all the old statuses were present in new workflow, then Jira moved issues automatically without asking. It assumes that old statues should remain the same.

You claim that some issue statuses were changed without permission, but this is unlikely to happen. Can you open "history" log under those issues and check if status wasn't change by any other user?

If you want to move issues from one status to another, you can use bulk change.

I did just check the status of the old issues and they remains in the same status as in the old workflow .

Because I did the same thing with an other type of issues where the status are not the same and JIRa asked to choose a status for them that´s why i got confused.

Thank you for the clarification.
