Adding a Label to Draft Tickets in Jira Plan before Saving

I'd like to add a label to draft tickets created in a Jira Plan before Saving so they don't fall off the board upon saving. We presently use a label to filter the board that the plan is pulling from. Is there a way to do this?

Welcome to the community. 

To my knowledge, if you add the fields als columns in the plan, you can fill them in when you create a new issue. 

I did a quick test and it seems to work (notice the missing keys to show they are still in draft.)

Just fill out the other fields before the summary so they don't get filtered out before you get the change to add them. Filling in the summary efffectively creates the draft issue.
