So glad the status button is back home. Another related issue for us is when we are reviewing sometimes 10s or 100s of items in a filter. The new position of the Next/Prev buttons to the middle means the button positions are variable depending on if Add Parent link is there, so I can no longer just keep the mouse pointer still and click through the items. This is slow and annoying when reviewing many Jiras and wanting to skip back through a number of them. No one else seems to have raised this so I guess this is not a great problem for many users.
