I've no problem with the functionality of the new issue navigator except for the view list. The old version is more configurable in how you can make the view look - specifically, you can configure the columns so it looks like a nice flowing list and all information is visible. The new view is locked in a spreadsheet like grid - it looks horrible and it's inflexible you have to hover and scroll over items to see the detail. There should be the option to turn the grid on or off to give you the previous flowing view.
Would greatly appreciate an option to go back to the old search. The old search was cleaner and faster for my search needs. The new search adds more clutter and makes it harder for me to process the results. I miss the text focused approach of the old one.
If some features only work with the new one we could always swap to it and then swap back.
The csv/excel exporting doesn't always work. "We couldn’t export your work items" error occurs randomly. And the option to switch back to old search is gone...
I was finally forced to move to the new search experience, and the removal of the Detail View is a significant step backward for productivity.
The previous Detail View — with a compact list of work items on the left and the full details of the selected item on the right — was ideal for working through a backlog or processing a queue of tickets. You could quickly scan, triage, and move through items without losing your place.
The new preview panel doesn't offer the same efficiency. I'd strongly encourage the team to reconsider bringing back a true split-panel view for users who need to process work items in bulk.
