Hi everyone! π
January-March was a big one for Jira Product Discovery, and we wanted to take a moment to celebrate everything we shipped together with you. We've been listening closely to your feedback across our community, support tickets, and surveys, and this quarter's releases were directly shaped by what you told us. So β thank you. Here's a look at what's new! π
Two big improvements to the timeline this quarter:
Performance: We've done significant work to virtualise items in the timeline view. If you've ever struggled with a packed roadmap slowing to a crawl, this one's for you.
Weekly granularity: You can now view your timeline at a weekly scale, giving you a much more precise view for near-term planning.
After a successful rollout, colour customisation for ideas is now available to all customers. Visually organise your board by colouring cards however works for your team β by status, team, priority, you name it.
You've told us for a long time that hierarchy is essential to how you organise ideas. With the new tree view, you can now visualise parent-child relationships between ideas directly in JPD; making it much easier to structure complex discovery work and see how ideas roll up. Available now in early access for Premium customers.

We've shipped several improvements to cross-project roadmap views this quarter:
View sections in the navigation: keep your roadmap organised
Visitor insights: see who's been viewing your roadmap
View comments: stakeholders can now leave comments directly on roadmap views
For teams working across multiple Atlassian sites, you can now link delivery work from different sites to your JPD ideas. Cross-site linking is here.
Connection fields are now even more powerful. You can connect ideas from more than 20 spaces and connect ideas of the same type to each other. And with the tree view, you can now visualise multi-level hierarchies.

Two big upgrades to permissions this quarter:
More granular admin permissions: finer-grained control over your JPD spaces, so you can give people exactly the access they need.
Locked filters for contributors: lock down view filters so contributors see exactly what you want them to see, with no accidental changes.

You told us that running automations in JPD was clunkier than it needed to be. Now you can trigger manual automations directly from the idea view (just like in Jira). Notify stakeholders, kick off reviews, create linked issues; all with one click, right where you're working.
JPD dates have always had their own special format, but now they're properly formatted when they appear in Confluence and Jira too. A small fix that makes a big difference when you're sharing plans across tools.
Moving between Atlassian cloud sites? You can now transfer your JPD spaces as part of cloud-to-cloud migrations, so your discovery work comes with you.
We've added clearer visibility into your product limits directly inside JPD, so you always know where you stand.
That's a lot! π We're proud of everything the team shipped this quarter, and even more grateful for the community feedback that shaped it. Keep it coming! Your feedback is heard.
