It's an issue that has, in my opinion, been plaguing JIRA for years - you can't assign multiple people to a backlog item, which is frustrating if you follow XP and do pair programming...and only use JIRA for your board.
Any plans on addressing that?
Is it not a juxtaposition to be championing agile development approaches in next fen, but not natively support a core practice in XP?
Do how do Atlassian's devs use the tool? Do they not pair?
I understand they do do pair-programming at times. And have a field for "other person in pair alongside owner"

Jira has a core principle that there is one single assignee so there can never be any confusion. Atlassian have no plans to change that.
If you want to represent both people in a pair, add a field for the other person.
