Can I configure email notification from next-gen projects?

When I create a task from next-gen project, assignee is not getting notification. How can I resolve this issue?

It is a feature request for the Next-gen projects. You can vote for it here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17157

It believe Atlassian is working on this.
