Why is GreenHopper OnDemand still one version behind?

As of 8 Jan 2012, GreenHopper OnDemand is still on v5.7 despite v5.8 being released almost 3 months ago. What is a reason for that? Does it always take months to update GreenHopper OnDemand to the latest release?

Greenhopper is scheduled to be updated in the near future. The OnDemand platform is still young, and with all the account migrations/etc. going on, the application updates have been pushed back a bit.

Looking forward, the plan is to update all applications in the OnDemand suite as soon as a new version is released.

Can you gives us a hint if "near future" is days, weeks, or months?

It looks like it will happen around the end of this month.

We're in the middle of February, and still no upgrade...?

Was the OnDemand platform a mistake? I don't see any progress on fundamental issues for quite a while...
