I added a "Sprint" column to my Issues display, but I can't sort by that column, unlike the other columns there.
I'd also like to add "Sprint" to my Basic search filters (along with Status, User, etc.), but can't. I can, however, add it via the Advanced query (Sprint = 11, for example). How can I add that field to the Basic search?
Indeed, the way Sprints were saved in GreenHopper didn't allow searching planned Sprints, but that has changed in JIRA Agile 6.3 (see Sprint Marker Migration). Now all Sprints can be looked up in Advanced Search.

Hi Joel,
This feature is not yet implemented to sort the issues base on the Sprint column nor the basic search. However, there is a feature request: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/GHS-7664 related to your request.
A workaround for this is to export the content as Excel, then sort the issues base on the columns.
Hope it helps
Omar

Thanks Omar.
I have a number of items assigned to a sprint that hasn't started yet, and I want to see the allocation of hours by developer.
I'm trying to create a filter for the tasks belonging to that new sprint, but it seems that GH only lets you build a filter for sprints that have started. Is that true?
If so, is there any way to run reports on stories that are not in the backlog, but are assigned to a sprint?
