We have multiple assignees across multiple projects. We need to be able to produce reports across all of these project without having to go into each one. Is there a way to do this?

I assume you mean Jira, as you've said projects?

There's plenty of cross project stuff, but you haven't told us what reports you actually want. The best we can do without that is to tell you "define filters which return the issues you are interested in from all projects and work with those"

I just need basic info like assignee, issue type, description, create, due date, etc. but we have multiple projects in JIRA and each assigneee may be part of more than one project. Right now i can only pull information for the one assignee from one project. I cannot pull that assignees information from one central point from all of the projects they may be involved with.

I still don't know what you are looking for though. You're not defining a question, just what you need in the results.

The issue navigator can list all of this and all you need to do is ask "show me a list of issues where ..." and the navigator will display it. The where clauses could include project, assignee etc, but they don't have to. So if you want a "cross project report", all you need to do is ask.

Without knowing what you're looking for, the best I can do is tell you to try putting something like "resolution = unresolved" into the advanced search to get a list of all the issues in your system that are currently open, irrespective of project, then making sure your issue navigator displays the fields you want.

Have a look at https://confluence.atlassian.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=185729481 for more.

Nic

I think that is exactly what I need - a cross project report where I can pull assignee information (issues) from each of the projects in JIRA they may be working with. I am not up on using the "show me alost of issues where" = where do I perform that function and how? Is there any documention on how to do this? thanks

I already pointed at the documentation telling you how to run filters and view the results in the issue navigator.

If you're not using OnDemand, you might want to refer to an older version - the "simple" search has changed formats between 5.1 and the latest release. The rest of it is valid for all recent versions of Jira.
