How to rename default status Open to another one customized

Hello

I would like to create a new workflow. When I create a new workflow, it is created with 2 default status: Created and Open but I dont want to use Open status, I want to create an another one and put the transition from Created to it. How can I do this?

try this in Diagram mode...

before you can remove it you will add at least one status the "create" transition links at

Add your new status then change the linked status from Open to your new status in the create transition. Now you should get an option to delete the default open status .

1. Create a new Status with the desired name
2. Create new workflow and edit it using text editor
3. Next to the 'Open' steo click 'Edit'
4. Change the name of the step and the linked status
