While testing using Bonfire, I'd like to open defects and assign them directly to existing issues/sub-tasks of project. How can I do that?
JIRA itself does not support any levels beyond sub-tasks. So how do you expect Bonfire to create sub-tasks under a sub-task?
AFAIK, Bonfire can create the new issues as a sub-task of an existing issue, not beyond that due to the above reason.
Thanks Renjith. Appreciate your response.
The work around I figured out was to use Bonfire and open up the issues as bugs while in a test session, and then link them together to an issue or the test session. It is a round about way, and a better feature would be to enable JIRA to allow these bugs to be directly linked to a sub-task.

Ah, you mean issue linking. Infact, Bonfire labels all the issue with the test session. Isn't that good enough Sandeep?

I have a project, under which I have Tasks/issues which inturn have sub-tasks. When the testers test the application, they should be able to assign defects under each sub-task. Hope that helps clarify.

What do you mean by 'assign them directly to existing issues' ?
