Applying Post Functions to Transition

John Love

Can one assign to a specific user on transition. I see in the documentation how you can assign to a role or to a development lead, but how about a specific user?

Yes, when you add the post transaction, use the Update Issue Field post type. Set the Issue Field to Assignee (I am assuming that you are using the assignee field for your assignments). Then, for Field Value, under the Unassigned and Automatic options, there is a radio button with a blank box where you can start typing the name of the person you want it set to. Then you should be good to go.

Hi, you might need the JIRA toolkit plugin, but you simply set the assignee field to a specific value as a post function.
