Restore from Export Backup due to Corrupted DB: Best Practices

Rick Lupori December 17, 2018

Hello, based on your analysis of my Jira project log files that I've been using for the past year, I have a corrupted database that is preventing Jira from launching.

So base on this, the steps in the link below are not applicable in my situation: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver073/automating-jira-application-backups-861253817.html?_ga=2.58666858.1782855819.1545083280-1407227743.1532992602.

At this point all I have are the entities.xml and activeobjects.xml backup files located in the

[app folder]\Atlassian\Application Data\JIRA\export folder.

Are there "complete wipe away and restore from backup" steps or guidelines or best practice that I could follow?

Thank you,

Rick
