Why can't members delete issue in Next gen projects?

Kenny Nguyen January 16, 2020

I don't understand why a member can't delete an issue in the Next-gen project. I don't want to give them Administrator permission, where they can change the project's settings, however, I'd like them to be able to delete tasks/issues that are no longer needed.

Thanks.

Hi @Kenny Nguyen ,

Delete operation is irreversible. To reduce the risk of Issue being deleted by mistake, the delete permission is only allowed to be operated by the administrator.

The following posts have some suggestions about delete issues.

Thanks for the info. Although I still think a member should be able to delete the issue, especially when the member is the creator.

And also, when a member is preparing backlog issues. I don't want someone to be an admin just because they are working on a backlog of potential items.

I'd like to be able to decide who I do or do not trust to delete items rather than have it imposed top-down. It's my workflow, my team, my level of trust.

Hello, I am also agree that member needs to have permission to delete or archive own issue. Now this feature isn't available and it is really not comfortable!
