vertical scroll bar missing when viewing JIRA on a laptop or smaller screen

We have noticed that if viewing the backlog items on the Kanban board view that the right vertical scroll bar disappears once you also open an issue.  If you view the backlog of issues the vertical scroll bar is visible.  But as soon as you open up an individual issue to appear on the right, the vertical scroll bar disappears. 

Functionality still exists, but the slider bar is hidden until you click down in the scroll bar area.  

Yes, it is a minor annoyance...but I have picky customers. :)

Hi Carl,

This sounds similar to the issue that can be found at JSWSERVER-16010 - Scrollbar and its slider are being hidden by backlog and/or sprint header in JIRA 7.4.x.  There is an update that may help:

You can toggle the sticky header feature on and off for the instance at 
Settings > Applications > Jira sftware Configuration> Sticky sprint headers
The feature will be on by default. You can turn the  feature off to get the behavior prior to 7.4 releases, which will keep the scrollbar visible.
