unable to assign ticket to user

Hi,

   We have external user, recently his email id has been added. I am not able to assign tickets to user. I have check the permission scheme - Browse projects and Assign issues. I see that user role belongs to these. I am not able to search user when I want to assign ticket. Can you please let what is the issue.
We are using Jira 8.5 version,

Hi Suma 

Guess you have got the permissions messed up . Actually the permission need to be Assignable User ( User with this permission maybe assigned issue to ).

Hi Faisal,

    Thank you for rectifying it. Yes you are right, In Assignable user i do not see that role, now added and I could see the user.

Hi Faisal,

     I just observed one strange thing ,there are other external user whom I am able to search for assigning issues but without adding permission Assignable user..

Not sure on this...
