rename a user in jira

Good afternoon,

I search everywhere how to rename a user in JIRA, but i don't find.

Google ask about fisheye only.

I am forced to create a user, delete the old one, and i will choose to transfert project of the deleted user to the new one ?

Hi @yoann lemaire ,

To rename a user in Jira,

• navigate to the user management section from the JIRA ADMINISTRATION cogwheel.  
• Search for the respective user and click on the edit button to rename the user (as shown below).
  
• Below is the edit screen you will see, once you click on the edit.
  
  

In order to update a single user/bulk update, you can also use a third-party app like JIra Command Line Interface
