Linking other community question - Migrating-Releases-from-a-retired-board-into-a-new-board
We are in the process of migrating from team-managed to company-managed our projects.
We are wondering if are were in the new project/board and you went to the Releases section, would we be able to see the issues from the original project in those Releases which used in the previous project? i.e. when we migrate a project do we also migrate the releases which we created related to that project?
What would you recommend in this situation to retain the release information from the old team-managed project?
I you move your issues to the new project (my understanding in migration), all version release date is lost.
See the following section in the documentation
No, I don't see this possible as versions/releases are project specific and not transferable.
Even continuing your work in a Company project, you are not able to view version/release in formation on issues, relating to a previous project team or company managed.
Thank you for your swift answer @Marc - Devoteam
That is a real shame. Is this something we can possibly expect to be available in the future?

That you could ask Atlassian?
Or look and follow the Atlassian Cloud roadmap or see and search on Atlassian Jira (Feature and Bug requests)
