Could you explain what you mean by "connect"? I ask because you've tagged this with "cloud" which suggests that you are trying to do some form of reporting in Jira on a remote Mongo database (On Cloud, you don't care what the database behind Jira is, you don't get to see it)
If you mean use Mongo as the database on a Server or DC installation of Jira, the simple answer is "don't bother", because it's unsupported and, as well, does not work - you will find it corrupts and fails.
