There are some problems here.

  1. There's no such thing as a "project backup".  Only "export everything and import single project from there"
  2. If you import the project as it is, it will fail as the project already exists.
  3. I don't know if a backup of that particular date is available to the end users - Atlassian Cloud backups are intended for disaster recovery, not reporting
  4. We are not support, we're a community of end users like yourself.  We have less access to your Cloud system than you do

You could still raise this with support, but the best you will get from them is the backup from that date.  You'll need to restore it on your own dev system, work out how to hack the data to prevent the project overwrite, export it and re-import it.  I don't think that's really particularly useful - I'd get the dev system working and then just compare it with production.  Or just read the database for "changeitem" which will contain records of attachment updates and deletes.

If you do want to try this, then raise it at https://support.atlassian.com
