how do i add fixversion to a new issue

When I create an issue, fixVersion is not an available field.  My understanding is that this is meant to be a system field that I use for versioning (version burndown report etc,).

How do I assign a version to an issue?

This is the project config you need to check.  Three items to look at, all accessible through project admin:

  1. Is it hidden by the field configuration?  (Under field configurations)
  2. Is it actually included in the "Create issue" screen?  (Under issue type screen scheme)
  3. Do you have the right permissions to "schedule" the issues?  (Permissions)

 

 

Oh - thank you so much!  It was hidden in the field config - that was the one place I failed to check.
