Hi,
We have a Custom field(date picker) when moving ticket from Done -> Re-Open user wants to make the field empty/blank.
Tried with postfunction (JSU) "Clear Field Value" but this is removing the field instead of value.
Can anyone suggest any work around for this please?
Hi @Likhita
The "Clear Field Value (JSU)" post-function removes the value of the field.
but this is removing the field instead of value.
By the above statement, do you mean the field is removed from the view screen of a ticket? If yes, please note that when a date-picker field has no value, it will be removed from the view screen on Jira Server/DC - this is expected.
If this is not the issue you're facing, could you please share more details of the problem?
Btw, I'm from the JSU (Appfire) support team. If you've any questions, feel free to raise a support ticket with us here

Hi @Suprija Sirikonda _Appfire_
Thank you for your quick response and clarification on my issue.
Is there any other workaround to achieve this ?
Thanks,
Likhita.

Hi @Likhita,
As per Atlassian here:
Only applies to the View Issue screen: when a custom field does not have any value set, this field will not show in the View Issue screen even if the field has been added to this screen. In order to be able to view this field, you will need to edit the issue first (in order to switch to the Edit Issue screen) and add a value to this field. After that, the field will be visible on the View Issue screen.
I'm not sure if there are any other workarounds to achieve that. You might want to check with the Atlassian Support team for more information on this. They might have insights or solutions that I'm not aware of.
