creator vs reporter

Hello team

As im new in jira : i found that we can search (jql) issue with the two word key :

1. creator 

2. reporter 

i would like what are the difference ? and when i have to work with reporter and when work with creator ?

Hi @Karim Belhadj 

The Creator is the person who created the issue. 

The Reporter is a field that you can set during the creation of the issue. (if the field is in your screen) The default value will be the person who is creating the issue. 

This makes it possible to create an issue for someone else so that they can easily see the progress, but there is still some traceability on who created it.
