create repeatable project/workflow template?

Chris Chambers August 30, 2017

My team builds app servers for customers, and we're looking for a template that can be "spun up" new for each new customer/server when it's requested.

Ex.

New project from the template with the workflow it'll use every time.  Give the new proj a name, and it creates all the tasks to get the job done.

Assign people to the tasks and put them to work.

Close the project when the site/server has gone live.

Rinse & repeat for the next customer/site/server.

Any way to do this with Jira Core?  A step-by-step (dumbed down?) example would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

Hi Chris,

There's an open ticket for this feature that you can find at JRA-7020.  Please vote on the issue to add impact so we can get this added to JIRA.

In the Suggestion ticket there are some add-ons that have been suggested to use in the meantime:

Cheers,

Branden
