I'd like to build a dashboard gadget based on Issues created for projects in a specific project category. I don't see "project category" or "category" in the Issue Navigator dropdown of available fields. Is this possible? And if so, how do I go about it?

thanks.

You have to use JQL (advanced search) to use category. It's not an issue field.

But it really is "category = xxx" (and it auto-suggests the xxx as you start typing)

It is as simple as that ;)
