Hi,
I create a project in JIRA and I want to add an automation rule but the trigger I want to use doesn't exist.
Can I add a new one ? when I click on Trigger there is a list where I should choose one, and that's the problem, the one I want to use isn't there.
Thank you very much for your help
Hi,
What trigger do you want to use that missing?
Can you share screenshot so i will be sure of what automation you are talking about?
Thanks.
Hi Haimov,
Thank you very much for your quick reply, in fact I want to add an automation whiche will obligad the person who modify a ticket to put the right person in the right "Team" when this JIRA is asigned to someone.
For exemple: I choose to asigne a new JIRA to "Tom" , but I forgot to put the right "Team"
I need an automation that whether add the right "Team" automatically or the person creating the Jira get an error that it's not the right team.
I hope I could explain whant I want to do
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
are you using the built-in jira automation?
this screen?

I guess you wanted to attach another image when you said "this one"
but there is nothing in your message :)

Ohh, i see,
That kind of automation not support what you want.
you can't do that with this kind of automation.
Also, what you want to accomplish is 2 different automations.
1. set "front-end" will not let the user submit his change without setting the relevant team and will popup an error message for him.
2. set "back-end" automation that see when the user set, if he didn't set the right team, then the automation set it to the right team (the team will never be empty because it is mandatory in the first automation)
So, i'm not sure, you can do the first one in jira cloud (i just don't remember), and if you can, it will be with a 3rd party plugin that probably not free.
But the second one you can do, with a plugin called "automation for Jira", Atlassian bought this plugin recently and they will add it to be built-in in Jira.
All features for limited executions free, or paid for unlimited executions
Meanwhile you can install it from Jira marketplace:

Thank you again
