Why is the Reporter Field not showing in the Resolve Issue Screen?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Custom Fields or System Fields are Not Appearing on the Screen

In the "Configure Screen" page, I have added the "Reporter" field. But I click on "resolve" the screen does not show that field. I have tried the same with "Attachment" and it is working like a charm. But it just won't work with "Reporter" or "Issue Participants".

Issue participants sounds like a read-only field that is pulled from other data, so it won't appear on screens that are for editing issues.

For the reporter, do you have "modify reporter" permission in the project?  The field won't be offered to you if you don't.

Hey Nic,

thx so much for your fast reply - I suddenly realized that I was thinking that it will display the reporter, but I actually didn't want the option to change the reporter. So it totally makes sense that it won't show.

Thank you again and have a nice day
