Why is my field Epic Name not associated with Issue Type Epic?

Rick Wahlberg March 25, 2019

My apparent problem is that I can't bulk load epics  See Picture.   How do i fix this?  I tried to edit it but it's locked and I can't

Also note that if I edit the Epic, change issue type to Epic, then edit again, the Epic Name field pops up for data entry and I can enter it correctly, saving it and making it a viable candidate for bulk load of Epic stories and/or tasks. With a hundred or more epics, that's a lot of editing.

My problem seems to be different.  I made Epic the default type.

And I refreshed the browser

Used this load fileEpic Load File.PNG

Have you done an export of your current Epics to ensure your formatting of the CSV is all correct? This is a step i take when i run into import errors to ensure I havent overlooked a fields expected values in the Jira DB.
