Why did Jira agile create so many Story Points fields?

I noticed I had around 8 Story Points fields created, and most of those weren't tied to a project. When I deleted them, it messed up some of the Scrum Boards that had the estimated tied to the deleted field. Is there a reason why these Story Points fields were created? They all had the same name, so it made working with this field in queries very difficult.

JIRA on it's own does not have the "Story Points" field unless you have JIRA Software (JIRA Agile). It will not create multiple Story Points fields unless:

• Someone who have JIRA System Admin permission on your team creates those
• A bug somewhere

I do have JIRA Software (previously Agile). So this field was created by an admin, most likely?

I just noticed we had 8 fields of the same name which was strange.
