I am using JSM and I used to be able to easily set my unresolved issues to "done" once my team was finished working them but for some reason, the "done" status is no longer available (see screen shot). Did I somehow do something that removed that option? Help!!!!!
Hello
This looks like resolutions, if you are a jira administrator you can check and see what the settings are for your system. You could have also set in the workflow a configuration to include specific resolutions to appear. It is similar to something like this in the workflow.
jira.field.resolution.include
with some of the values to include. Note that Jira will only accept numbers, so like this in the values: 10001, 10003, 10203 which will relate to the values of your resolutions.
If that is set on your workflow then only those values will show.
Yes @Alan Stephenson , you're absolutely correct--this is for resolutions. Sorry if my initial question was not very clear. I make a lot of assumptions when I post a question on here but forget that despite you folks knowing a lot more about Jira than me, you still can't help me if I don't provide the full picture.
However, despite me not fully explaining my issue correctly, @Trudy Claspill was able to understand me somehow and provided me with a link to a workaround that helped me resolve my issue. Thank you though for taking the time to reply to my query, I really do love this Atlassian Community!!! ♥♥♥♥

Hello @Victoria Vlad
Can you provide a more complete screen image showing for which field that list is being generated? Is it the Status field or the Resolution field?
The statuses available depend on the workflow that is associated with the issue type.
Things that can affect the available statuses are:
- which statuses are in the workflow
- what transitions are allow from the issue's current status to other statuses
- what conditions exist on those transitions; when the conditions are not met, then the status will not be available.
Resolution values may be limited also based on customization of the workflow.
Is this for a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project?
Are you a Project Admin for this project? If not, then you will need to contact the person who is, and/or contact your Jira Administrators to have them review the workflow to determine why you don't see the Status values you exped.

If this concerns the Resolution field, I learned today about a new defect that the list of Resolutions is being truncated.

This may be affecting you. You should still check with your administrators to confirm whether or not the option you are looking for has actually been removed.

@Trudy Claspill this is exactly what is happening to me!!! Once I followed the instructions on that help article you linked, I was able to see the 'done' status and mark all my unresolved issues as 'done'. Phew! As always, you're a star Trudy--thanks a million!!!!
