Why Does Importing Child "Inward" and "Outward" Issue Links All End Up as "Is Child Of" Issue Links

I have a CSV file with "Inward Issue Link (Child)" and "Outward Issue Link (Child)".  The original "Inward" Child Link was displayed as "is parent of" and the "Outward" Child Link was displayed as "is child of" in the "Issue Links" section on the Story screen.  During the import, all I can do is map the "Inward Issue Link (Child)" to "Child" and the "Outward Issue Link (Child)" to "Child".  There is no differentiation between Inward and Outward.   After the import, I checked the imported issue and find both the Inward and Outward Child links under the "is child of" link and nothing under the "is parent of" Issue Link section.  Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

I recently exported some of those dependency links to CSV also, and was confused by the results. Would love to hear someone clarify it, or get a pointer to some (Server/Data Center) documentation that explains what's going on there.

Thanks for the reply Mykenna.  I am still waiting for some sort of feedback, still waiting for assistance to explain what is going on and if I am doing soemthing wrong or this is just the way it is.

I wish I could remember the details, but I only remember being confused and frustrated about the inconsistency. My gut suggests it's just the way it is.
