When creating a quick filter for a board, can you pull in a previous filter you created?

JQL = Filter = 'x'

My goal is to create a quick filter that pulls issues assigned to a group of people that work across MANY projects (centralize their view of current work).

I have already created the group, and filter that holds the multiple projects.  However, when addiing the quick filter to the groups main board (not related to any of the projects called in the filter) the JQL seemed to recongize the group and the filter I previously created, gave me a green check mark but I cant seem to get the issues to show!?

Quick filters are for filtering the issues on the board.

They do not change the scope of the board filter, they hide things that are on the board, allowing users to drill down to or concentrate on specific parts of the board.

You need to create a new board that uses your quick filter as its filter.

Thanks Nic!  That's pretty much the conclusion I arrived at :)
