Heads up! On March 5, starting at 4:30 PM Central Time, our community will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, you will find the site temporarily inaccessible. Thanks for your patience. Read more.
×First of all, I need to say that I tried to import the way several users recommended on this Forum and NOTHING worked. I wasted hours on failed attempts. I was much happier using Monday, with all its simplicity and user-friendly usability.
I have a Marketing project to manage. It has no bugs and no development that requires the complexity and advanced features of Jira. But other teams in the company use it, such as the devs.
You can understand my despair: I have 21 projects to manage in Jira Cloud and they all have the same scope and the same Epics, Stories, Tasks and Subtasks. Tasks are children of Stories, and Stories are children of Epics. There are several Epics and Stories and creating them manually is impractical. I'm going crazy with this.
What I need is:
Can you have mercy on this humble mortal who begs for help and give me an answer that I can actually understand and execute?
Or if none of what I need is possible in Jira Cloud, please let me know. I'll use this answer to convince the Marketing team to switch back to Monday and we'll just let the devs be happy using Jira.
In this spreadsheet, the items are in a way that you can understand how the tasks are:

Thank you to anyone who can help, with all my heart!
Quick update... The Jira support team got in touch with me and helped me do exactly what I needed. Special shoutout to Gabi Paludo, who recorded her screen and provided all the necessary steps:
Problem solved. If you ever need something similar, just reach out to Jira support. ;)
And the best part? No need to purchase any apps or pay for any additional services (a big hug to the vultures who waste no time trying to sell us solutions we don’t need).
Take care! Have a great week.
Hey, @Diego Abner ! Glad to hear your problem was solved! 🙌
I wanted to share a link to some info about a new Live Learning series we have coming up, focused on using Jira within marketing roles: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/Introducing-quot-Jira-for-Marketers-quot-Live-Learning-series/ba-p/2826220
Hope you (and maybe others on your marketing team!) can join us for a session or two!

Hi @Diego Abner,
I understand your frustration with setting up your Marketing Projects in Jira. One tool that could simplify this process for you is our app Deep Clone for Jira. This app allows you to clone entire projects, including Epics, Stories, Tasks, and Subtasks, preserving all the necessary hierarchy and details. You can create a template project and then duplicate it 21 times, saving you from manual creation. You can learn more about using Deep Clone for Jira for templating here.

Hello @Diego Abner
I can probably help solve your point 2). We designed an app, Elements Copy & Sync, that allows you to clone all of the issues of a project at once, automatically and with all their content (summary, description, custom fields, comments, attachments, etc).
That way you won't have to do it manually for your 21 projects.
You can check our guide here.
The app is for free during 30 days (and it stays free under 10 users). Hope this helps!

Hi @Diego Abner
Welcome to the Community!
Initially, Jira is specifically designed with the Development and Service Teams in mind but Jira has grew so much over the years that it is possible for any team to adopt it.
For your use case, I would approach it as follows:
Have a Hierarchy configured for your need by a Jira Administrator / any one that manages your Jira Instance.
Hierarchy can be configured from the Plans --> Settings and Issue Type Hierarchy.
Once you have the Hierarchy configured, you can use the Parent Link Field to map the Hierarchy between the issues.
This Doc can help you with the Parent Child Import: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/csv-import-parent-child-mapping-1096095688.html
I say this is not simple and will need some good work as you will have to import the High level Items into Jira first and then the second level by adding the Parent Column to the import and so on..
Also, this will need Advanced Roadmaps users permissions as well for you to view the Hierarchy.
Hope this helps you get started.

@Bhanu Thank you very much for the answer.
It is clear that Jira Cloud will not be used to create and manage Marketing Projects in an agile and uncomplicated way. :(

@Bhanu Complementing... I followed the steps this guy shows in the video on how to import a CSV containing Epics and correlated Stories. But when importing the CSV in the Settings > System > Import from External System menu, the link options do not appear in the Mapping.
Is there any Jira configuration that I need to change for this to work?
