What is "Dot releases"?

Currently I am upgrading jira version to 6.2 and I can see this text "Does the new licence agreement include upgrades for dot releases?

Could you please tell me what is "Dot releases" are?

Dot release is a release that you do after the main release has been done. For example

5.1, 6.1, 6.2 are dot releases

4.0, 5.0, 6.0 are major releases
