We have an app that accesses the Jira Cloud REST API via OAuth 2.0 (3LO). With this we are facing random 429 errors. In order to forecast these errors better and build a better system around it, we would need precise information on rate limits.
We have gone through the rate limit documentation but find the details a bit vague. Ideally we would like to know exactly how many api calls we can make per minute or hour.
We understand that rate limits are dynamic and dependent on the systems the requests are sent to, but if you can give us information on any standard rate limits that applies to the jira "cloud" instances, it would be very helpful.
Hey @Automate
Welcome to Atlassian Community !
No there isn't anywhere I could see the exact rate limits are mentioned, as you mentioned the rate limit documentation just explains Rate Limit responses and Response handling parameters..
But I did find this feature request on the same question you have asked, which suggests that we don't have that info yet. https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/ACJIRA-2255
I would recommend you directly get in contact with Support Team to get more details on this.
Regards,
Vishwas
