I am trying to figure out storage requirements to give to our IT for the Database and Home directory. I can not find any information on this in JIRA Software or JIRA Service Desk Documentation.
Our Plans are to instal JIRA SW, JIRA SD and Confluence.
the database size will vary instance to instance and will depend upon how many issues, comments, image files etc are in your instance. still for a rough estimate check this out
SIZING GUIDE

Slightly confused in the section "Staying ahead of hardware demand" it lists install directory, home directory, attachments.
I saw that the issue data is stored in the DB. I assumed that's the text data (info, comments etc) and I would imagine it similar to confluence DB sizing.
What is stored in the Home directory?
Are attachments stored on the Filesystem like Confluence.?
I am a Software guy not an IT guy so I am a little out of my element.

OK I found some additional documents, I think I get it now, the home directory contains the attachments or attachments can be set to a custom location.
