We are missing multiple stories and comments from few weeks ago

All of a sudden many stories from closed sprint, open sprint and backlog are missing, just deleted. Also many of the comments and attachments are missing. 

There is no way somebody from the team deleted them.

Does anyone have ran into similar problem.

Unfortunately in Jira cloud it's not possible to check who deleted these issues.

 

You can audit logs only related to changes in configuration, but jira cloud does not store historical data regarding deleted issues.

 

The only thing you can do is:

1. To verify who has an access to delete/move issues from this project

2. Ask sincerely them, if maybe they tried to do some bulk action some time ago. Maybe it's possible that they have moved those issues to another project instead of deleting them.
