Watcher Management (Search) for Users

Jonathan Gobeil
March 26, 2015

Hello,

I need users to be able to add / remove watchers within a ticket. When they click on the "Add Watchers" button, they do have the ability to type in a username and add a watcher.

However, I'd like to make the "search" function available to them (so they may only type part of the name / username instead of having to enter the full exact username).

How can this be done?

Thanks!

Hi, Jonathan.

There's a Global Permission in JIRA called 'Browse Users'. If you modify this permission, granting it to your users, they should be able to see the list of users in the 'watchers' field, as well as in others.

I hope it was helpful.

Kind regards,
