Hi Syed,

I am not from the Jira team but I will try to help.

Are you using Jira Cloud or Jira Server?

I know that on Jira Cloud if you add a video attachment to a Jira Issue then a thumbnail should be automatically generated for you.

I suspect if you try to do the same in Jira Server you will get similar behaviour.

Ie. instead of using the wiki markup just drag-and-drop or add an attachment.

I hope that helps!

Martyn,

Appreciate your help

We recently switch to Jira Cloud it's auto inserting Video file as thumbnail but i have made some changes in Personal Setting and Under Jira labs I switch off the "New Jira Issue view"

there where is issue is started

Thanks

Syed

The issue actually is not resolved by the "accepted" answer.
I have the same issue as OP: I want to add a video in the Jira description, and then be able to change its size to a small thumbnail, otherwise the huge video breaks the Jira text, and most reader simply never scroll down to the rest of the text.

With images, I can resize thumbnail. With videos, it allows resize, but only a little, and video basically stays huge.

Hi , you could also try Nexonic Artify mobile apps (both IOS and android) -- this app allows screen recording and natively upload recorded video to a JIRA ticket (search or create)

on Top user can annotate a uploaded video with in their JIRA cloud plugin - please find details here

Android app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nexonic.artify&hl=en

Please let us know if you need any further details -- thanks
