Velocity is not showing properly

Arnold Infant May 13, 2024

Hey , we've wrapped up the sprint, but there seems to be an issue with the velocity calculation as the story points aren't showing up correctlyScreenshot 2024-05-13 221435.jpg

The columns were managed correctly in the last sprint; they showed correctly. However, in the current sprint, I am facing some issues with velocity chart,

thanks for commenting.
I replaced the old statuses in the board configuration and Jira recalculated the velocity.

Welcome to the community, @Arnold Infant  👋

I'd start by checking how your velocity chart columns are configured—are you using defaults or something else—and comparing that to the fields your teams use as they do their work.

If that doesn't shed any helpful light, please share the details about how things are currently configured (with screenshots) so we can help you spot the problem.

Best,

Hello @Arnold Infant

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

You will need to drill into each Sprint's report to review the issues listed to see their Story points and if they were considered committed and completed as part of that sprint.

Committed will reflect story points set on issue in the sprint at the moment the sprint was started. Stories added or removed after the sprint starts, and changes to story points in issue after the sprint starts, will not cause the Committed value to change.

Completed will reflect story points set on issue in the sprint that are in the right-most column of the board at the moment the sprint was Completed.

Hello @Arnold Infant

For the sprints that you say are wrong, please show us the Sprint Report for each sprint. Do the individual sprint reports from the same board where you get the Velocity report who points committed and completed?
