I start with jira 1 week ago with free plan.

I configured to create tasks from email. And now I ran into a strange problem. If the task was created through an email, then I cannot assign it to one of the users. This user is not in the list for assignment in this scenario. But if you create a task from Jira interface, then this user is visible.
I looked through all the rights, one is the same for all users.
Help, please, I do not understand what to do?

Just for us to better understand and help you with this issue, we need more details about the project.

Is this a next-gen or a classic project?

If it's a classic project, can you go to your profile settings and disable Jira labs (new issue view)? After that, please test assigning an issue to the user.

When did this issue start?

Is it happening for all projects?

Is it happening when someone else tries to assign the issue to this user?
