I want to create a rule where -- depending on how you set Assignee -- the Team field is automatically updated, but I am running into this error message:
Unknown fields set during edit, they may be unavailable for the project/type. Check your custom field configuration. Fields ignored -
customfield_100001
No fields or field values to edit for issues (could be due to some field values not existing in a given project):
SF-1368
I looked up the Team field in our project settings and it is locked -- is that why I am running into an issue or is it something else?
Here are a few pictures that show how I built the rule:
Hi @[deleted]
Which "team" field are you trying to set from the rule? I believe there are several things with that name in Jira Cloud, and I recall at least one of them cannot be set by rules.
You can often determine if a field can be set with a rule, and confirm its smart value, using this how-to article: https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/find-the-smart-value-for-a-field/
Kind regards,
Bill
The smart value article is a little over-my-head since I'm not a developer. I'd like to see if I can get my question answered via the community before I try to dig more into that.
The field is just called "Team" in the project settings but I took a screenshot of the Team field I am trying to use, if that helps.

Thanks for that screen image; it shows you are using a company-managed (CMP), software project. I believe that team field is not supported with automation yet, based on this suggestion: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-21983
You can watch/vote for the item to see progress.
