Good morning,
we have over 100 different active JSM Portals and it is getting quite challenging to navigate through them for our users. We have identified around ten different categories that our projects can be sorted into (HR, Legal, IT etc.), so our idea was to assign one category to each JSM Project (through the project settings) that has an active portal.
Afterwards, the plan is to replace all the single portals in JSM by the categories, so the view would be
First level/Start page of JSM: Categories. One box for each category with its name
Second level: One box for each project that belongs to the category selected previously
Third level: Upon selecting the project, all request types are visible as it is the case now.
I could not find any feature request that is exactly asking for this or a similar question. Is there a way to achieve this?
Thank you
Hi @Sebastian Wigge ,
I don't believe you can do that out of the box.
However, maybe you could use the following concept:
On each of these help centers for specific project categories, you can show only portals that are relevant to that category. And the 'main' help center could contain links to each of these 'sub-help centers'.
As the final result, you could have something like:
Anyway, this is just an idea. Personally, I've never constructed something like this, but again, this help center layout is quite a new thing.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Tom
Hello Tom,
haven't heard of that approach yet, sounds like it could do the trick (even though an out of the box solution would be preferred of course). I will look into it, thank you!

You can hide the portals you don't want visible to your internal users/customers, and leave the ones that are meant to be open for users to submit requests or inquiries. This can be done via the help center configurations.

Thank you Anthony. We already did a proper cleanup so what we have in the portal is actively being used by our users. As JSM Portals are usually meant for a wide audience, we do not want to restrict visibility too much.
Kind regards
