Unable to login on JIRA admin it is showing captcha again and again but as an user we can able to login on JIRA on 4.X version. I had tried on clear cache, cookies and etc but I can able to login as an user but unable to login as JIRA ADMIN. Please suggest us how to fix these by DB(MySQL) or any other option for access JIRA Admin.

I would recommend the documentation on Retrieving the Jira Administrator.  This is a comprehensive document that can guide you in this respect.  Please note that the instructions can be different between versions of Jira, and whether or not you might be using a single sign on solution, like Crowd, but the document does take those factors into account here.

Hi @Kalyan Kumar Das

We do have a KB article which could possibly address your issue here:

This is commonly caused by the following reason:

  1.  General network errors (e.g.: unable to route to the server due to DNS, firewall, slow network speeds)
  2. The external user directory is offline
  3. The external user directory is unreachable
  4. LDAP errors
  5. Intermittent timeouts, which can result in a sporadic occurrence

Therefore we would suggest you go through the suggested resolution in the above KB article and let us know how it goes for you

It will do, if you've failed log in too many times.

You need to repeat the process Suren pointed to to reset it, but also fix the directory so it tries to read a valid one.
