Hi,

I've created a rule that when one board moves an issue to a status, it creates a linked issue. This runs successfully with no issues. Screenshot 2025-01-30 124044copy.png

The problem I run into, is when the linked issue is marked as done, we want the trigger issue moved to the next status. I've set up this rule, but its not identifying anything to run against, despite the task having the linked issue that matches the criteria

I've tried a few different permutations but I havent been able to get this to trigger, and searching on here returns that this rule is set up in the right way so a little bit at a loss. Thanks in advance!

Hi @Brian Donaghy

If both issues are not in the same project you have to make sure to configure the scope of the automation to cover both projects.

Yup, the second rule is a global rule! Thanks for getting back so quick :)

If the scope cover both project, the only issue I can see is that you are looking at the wrong link type.

ahhhhhhhhhh good call! I was using the link type from the starting project, not the project it was in. that made it run, thank you!
