It is possible within Jira's time tracking feature to limit either the number of total hours that can be input into one work log or limit how far in the past that an entry can be made?

We have very basic time tracking needs and the cost of Tempo, which I believe has these capabilities, it just too high for us.

Appreciate any suggestions!

Not possible out of the box and definitely not possible in JIRA OnDemand because it doesn't allow third party plugins or the possible workarounds!
