Test site for JIRA REST API

Francois Du Toit
August 27, 2013

Hi,

I have downloaded and installed JIRA for developers, but it seems like it does not include the JIRA REST API. How do I test/configure JIRA to enable the REST API services? Or at the very least test the connection?

I would really like a "test" site where I can just do XMLHTTPRequest to the server and receive feedback without having to be concerned about my own test environment.

Any advice appreciated.

Thank you,

Francois

Hi there,

You can find the REST specification here: http://docs.atlassian.com/jira/REST/latest/

Just access the urls in browser to see if it is enabled. If not, make sure the 'Allow Remote API Calls' is turned ON under Administration > General Configuration.
